In his senior year as a TDPS major, Drew Woodson is writing and directing a play titled "Your Friend, Jay Silverheels" that speaks to the experiences of a Native actor working in the industry today. The play explores connections to the generations of actors that have come before and to the Native people who have grown up in an urban environment away from their ancestral land. The central themes involve the loss of people and things closest to us as well as what happens when we lose our own paths in life.
