Ne Nani Ha (Hello!)
I am a Western Shoshone Playwright/Actor/Director/Educator based in New York City. Originally from Nevada/California. I write plays based on the experience of being Native as well as being human, and sometimes combine those things. Most recently, I've completed a four-week residency across four midwestern states as part of the Four Directions Artist Residency. This included the Great Plains Theater Conference in Nebraska, the Toftee Lake Artist Residency in Minnesota, and the Tulsa Artist Residency in Oklahoma, all culminating in a reading with Kansas City Rep. I'm also an educator and have taught and tutored in English and Theater, and am the current Youth and Education Coordinator for the American Indian Community House in New York City. I also write screenplays and TV scripts and occasionally act (as I trained for four years at UC Berkeley to do). Ultimately, my work tries to make sense of the world around me, asking questions about things that I don't understand, and writing as a way of trying to answer them.
